Josh Windass trolled a Celtic fan who attempted to roast him following yesterday's friendly between the Hoops and Sheffield Wednesday.

The former Rangers man scored the opener for the Owls during the 3-1 Celts victory at Dragon Park before Ange Postecoglou's troops turned the game on its head.

The Parkhead club shared a photo of Windass alongside goalscorer Owen Moffat on their social media pages following the victory and one fan was quick to try and poke fun at the ex-Ger.

The supporter wrote: "The s***housery of using @WindassJnr in the photo being skint. This is a team of champions!

"Play like this and the league will be wrapped up by Christmas! #WindASS."

But Windass, 27, was quick to shut down the punter with a savage response. Simply saying: "He ran it out of play mate x".

The attackers' response racked up more than 5,000 likes and shares on Twitter.

Windass spent two full seasons at Rangers, hitting 19 goals in 73 appearances across all competitions. He eventually departed Ibrox after Steven Gerrard took over.
