Celtic have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of George Baldock with new Sheffield Utd boss Slavisa Jokanovic suggesting he won't sanction any move.

The right-back had been tipped for a move away from Bramall Lane and Celts were front of the queue.

Ange Postecoglou is still on the lookout for a new full-back on the right-flank after loanee Jonjoe Kenny headed back to Everton and Anthony Ralston the only option at this time.

But Jokanovic says it's unlikely it will be any of his players, namely Baldock, as he does not want to lose anyone this summer.

"I do not expect players to leave. I don’t have any benefits from this," the manager told the Yorkshire Post.

It comes as the Parkhead outfit were handed a BOOST earlier this week when goalkeeping target Mat Ryan hinted that he'd consider a move to Glasgow over Real Sociedad.
