John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan will stick around at Celtic after Ange Postecoglou assessed their roles at the club.
The new head coach hopes their experience and knowledge of the league and the football surroundings can help take him where he and his players want to go.
Postecoglou has always been clear in his message that those who want to get behind his plans will be useful to him, though there had been some fears from fans over Kennedy and Strachan's affiliation to former manager Neil Lennon and the failures of last season.
But the Australian boss has always backed himself to make those big decisions and, while he says he will add to his backroom staff, it makes sense to keep Kennedy and Strachan in the team.
“My history is if there’s good people in the building then there’s no reason to change it,” Ange said. “So far all the staff have been excellent and have embraced where we want to go to.
“I will back my judgment in all these things. I take responsibility at the end of the day. We need to add to our staff for sure. We will be bringing in people at the appropriate time. Not necessarily in the coaching area, but there’s other areas we need to bolster.”
