Bosun Lawal has been pictured at Celtic Park as he gets set to sign a deal at the club.

The Republic of Ireland under-18s cap will put pen to paper on a contract to join the Hoops this month and was spotted by a supporter outside Parkhead on Tuesday.

Lawal, 18, is set to join from Watford where he was recently named player of the year for the academy side.

A supporter's page shared a short clip on social media - which has racked up more than 55,000 combined views - simply saying: "Youngster @bosun.lawal arriving at Celtic park earlier this afternoon ahead of his move from @watfordfcofficial."

Club hero Troy Deeney also detailed his admiration for the youngster, explaining how he believes he will have a bright future. "I saw him against Newcastle, I thought he did well that day. Three or four days later they played Sheffield United and I was there we stood there and watched him.

"You know what, he's got a little bit of [Abdoulaye] Doucoure about him. He can get past people effortlessly and keep striding, he has that big long stride. I thought he did really well.

"Three or four days after playing in the U23s, he played another 90 minutes and it was effortless to him. I think there's not many young players that catch your eye and you think 'he's going to have a career', but he certainly does that."

It is expected the deal for Lawal will be worth around £150,000 from a cross-border fee.
