REAL MADRID have confirmed that striker Karim Benzema has tested positive for Covid-19.
The La Liga giants travel to Glasgow this weekend to face Rangers in a pre-season friendly.
The glamous clash will be the final warm-up fixture for Steven Gerrard's side ahead of their Premiership opener against Livingston.
Benzema was part of the France squad for the European Championships this summer.
And he will now miss a crucial part of Madrid's summer schedule after returning a positive test.
A statement read: "Real Madrid C. F. confirm that our player Karim Benzema has tested positive for COVID-19."
