Celtic flop Marian Shved has finally ended his Glasgow torment by putting pen to paper on a permanent deal with KV Mechelen.

The Brendan Rodgers-signed winger struggled to make any sort of impact at Parkhead and played just three times as a sub, scoring against Nomme Kalju.

The Ukrainian had been wanted by clubs in Belgium and Holland and eventually chose the former. He then featured for Mechelen 22 times before he was meant to return to Celtic.

But now the Hoops have confirmed they have come to an agreement with his loan club to allow the player to stay on a permanent basis. A short statement read: "Best of luck to Marian Shved who joins KV Mechelen on a permanent deal".

Shved was contracted until 2023 but will leave with immediate effect.

Ange Postecoglou recently signed winger Liel Abada but the writing has been on the wall on Shved's exit for some time.
