CELTIC have confirmed that 24,500 supporters will be allowed into Parkhead for the team's first home Premiership fixture of the new campaign against Dundee on Saturday 7 August.

Around 9,500 fans were in attendance for the first leg of the Champions League second round qualifier against Midtjylland in Glasgow's east end, while 18,500 were let in for Saturday's 6-2 friendly defeat at the hands of West Ham.

Following talks between the Premiership runners-up and the Safety Advisory Group, Celtic have now confirmed that the stadium will be around 40 percent full for the clash with James McPake's newly-promoted team.

Chief executive Dominic McKay told the club's website: “I would like to thank our fans for all the fantastic support they have given us in reaching these levels.

"I would also like to thank all our staff for their efforts and hard work in allowing us to reach this stage, as well as the Safety Advisory Group for all their co-operation.

"We will be doing all we can to work closely with the relevant authorities and welcome our fans back in even greater numbers in the coming weeks.”
