PARTICK THISTLE have revealed the club was sent a Championship title flag for Hearts after an SPFL mix-up.
The Jags were mistakenly sent the cinch branded title winners' flag by the SPFL.
And, sharing the mix-up on Twitter, the club asked if there would be any possibility of a switch for a red and yellow flag after their League One triumph last term.
The tweet read: "Hiya @JamTarts
"The @spfl sent us a present yesterday but we think it might be for you.
"Hoping to trade it for a red and yellow version, can you help?"
Fans were quick to like the social media message as it racked up more than 300 retweets and 2,500 likes.
One user commented: "Please tell me they have sent Thistle’s League 1 flag to Hearts"
Another added: "And they wonder why outsiders call us a pub league. Embarrassing"
And a third said: "How is it even possible to get Partick and Hearts mixed up?"
