Hibs want to hand Kevin Nisbet improved terms on his deal amid reports linking him with a move to Celtic.
The Scotland striker has been linked with a potential switch to Parkhead this summer.
It comes as speculation has, in turn, linked Leigh Griffiths with a swap switch back to Easter Road, but that is yet to come to fruition.
Now, according to the Daily Record, Jack Ross's side hope to tie down Nisbet - already contracted until 2024 - to better terms in a bid to stave off any interest in his services.
Nisbet was his club's top scorer with 18 goals last term and managed to make his way into Steve Clarke’s Scotland squad for Euro 2020.
The 24-year-old was previously tipped for a move out of Scotland with Birmingham City linked with a possible interest.
But after Hibs managed to fight off interest in Martin Boyle who recently signed a contract extension, Nisbet could follow in the Australian's footsteps.
