Neil McCann reckons Rangers are still struggling to cope with the pressure of having supporters back inside Ibrox.

Steven Gerrard's side stumbled to a 1-1 draw against Motherwell yesterday in front of a capacity crowd for flag day.

And ahead of the match former Gers winger McCann explained why he felt his former side have failed to hit top gear this season.

He told Rangers TV: "There is still the dynamic of the support being back and I believe that the players are still getting used to it. When it is not going well.

"I have to say that the fans have been exceptional they haven't really got on the players' backs at all, but as the season progresses and it is still tight that will naturally happen.

"I still think they are still learning how to cope with the expectation that you can actually hear in the stadium.

"They are not being allowed to make the same mistakes without a reaction from the support.

"Equally I think they are feeling the power of the support like they did at McDiarmid Park. Once they got the equaliser it lifted the whole team.

"I think it drove them on to a really important win."
