AYR UNITED have confirmed the club has been made aware of alleged racist abuse hurled from the stands during their match with Morton.
The Championship club released a statement announcing they were appealing for information after the report of alleged racial abuse from the Main Stand during the goalless draw.
The statement, signed by Safety and Stadium Manager Roy Provan, revealed an Ayr United supporter had reported the alleged abuse to a steward at around half-time.
And Mr Provan urged that supporter to come forward to provide information on the incident.
The statement on the club website read: "The Club has been made aware of alleged racial abuse having been shouted from the Main Stand at Somerset Park during yesterday's match against Morton.
"Can I request that anyone with information relating to this, contact myself via the email address provided below.
"In particular, I am looking to speak to an Ayr United supporter who spoke to a stand steward around half-time regarding this matter."
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the club via stadium@ayrunitedfc.co.uk.
