STEPHEN Glass today admitted he is finding life as Aberdeen manager “not massively enjoyable” at the moment - after watching the Pittodrie club lose their fourth game in a row.

Glass’s men performed well against Celtic at home this afternoon, equalised through Lewis Ferguson and were unfortunate not to take a point from the cinch Premiership match.

However, they conceded to Portuguese winger Jota late on, have now gone nine games without recording a win and are languishing in ninth place in the top flight table.

If they fail to beat Dundee away and Hibernian at home in their next two matches Aberdeen will equal their worst-ever run of results - Ebbe Skovdahl went 11 games without recording a triumph between January and March 2010.

“Losing games is never enjoyable,” said Glass, the former Atlanta United 2 manager who was a surprise choice to replace Derek McInnes in March.

“The part of it that gives you hope and belief is the fact that the group of the players we have have been really good. They are working hard and we have more to come back as well. Not massively enjoyable at the minute, but I will enjoy fixing it.”

He added: “People are sick of hearing the same message and I am sick of dishing out the same message.

“It’s important that we learn quick as we know we have Dundee coming up in a couple of weeks. We know what it means and we need to start getting points on the board pretty quick.

“I think you can see a group of players that believe in what they are doing. A group of players that are not a million miles away from where they need to be if they can negate the issues defensively as individuals.”

Glass, whose side were beaten 3-2 by St Mirren in Paisley last week, dropped Aberdeen club captain Joe Lewis and brought in Gary Woods in goals against Celtic .

“Joe and Woodsy are competing for places the same as a number of players across the pitch,” he said. “For ourselves and the goalkeeers it is important it is not seen as more than that. It does get magnified when you change your keeper

“Joe has been the number one here any time he has been fit he has played for five or six years. Every other team in the league has probably chopped and changed their keeper during that time. It is no surprise when a performance level dips a little bit.

“It is important that Joe gets back to what he can be during the training to make it difficult to dislodge woodsy. Performances have not been what they should.

“But I was pretty clear to Joe that himself not to make it more than that. He just needs to get back to training and being the Joe Lewis everyone knows he can be.”
