THE numbers tell their own story for Rangers this term. They also further reaffirm the belief that the champions haven’t quite clicked in the final third so far.
The most concerning figure – the five defeats that his side have suffered – will frustrate Steven Gerrard but he retains faith in those he trusts to fire Rangers to silverware this season.
A lack of cutting edge in front of goal has plagued the champions in recent weeks but there were reasons to be positive on Sunday as Hibernian were beaten at Ibrox and Gerrard’s side ensured they retained top spot heading into the international break.
Gerrard has addressed Rangers’ attacking threat in public on several occasions. Behind closed doors, he works to find ways in which to rekindle the spark.
The Ibrox boss doesn’t exactly have a lack of options. The stats so far show that Rangers are short of goals, however, especially considering the firepower that is available.
