LIVINGSTON player-assistant manager Marvin Bartley has been subjected to vile racial abuse on social media.
The 35-year-old has taken to Twitter to call out the trolls who sent the disgusting messages.
It comes after Bartley - who is the Scottish Football Association's equality advisor - spoke out against Sparta Prague fans over their booing treatment of Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara in the Europa League last Thursday.
This morning he indicated that he would not apologise for a Twitter post that sparked anger in the Czech Republic following the match.
Alongside a photo of decaying strawberries, he wrote: “The worst thing about the scenes in Prague last night is that I’m not shocked in the slightest!
“In no way is this the fault of the CHILDREN because they’re behaving in a way they see adults do/encourage. What chance do they have when placed in a bowl with rotten fruit.”
Now, ex-Hibs ace Bartley has hit back at the racists - revealing he receives messages of this nature every time he calls out discriminatory behaviour.
Accompanying screenshots of the abusive messages, he wrote: "Excuse the explicit language but this is always the case after you speak about discrimination!
"Never will it stop me as I strive for us to all be treated equally. Enjoy your night."
Livingston were quick to come out and back their man.
A spokesperson said: "An utterly depressing & disgusting flurry of racial attacks on assistant manager Marvin Bartley today.
"Every single person connected with the club stands firmly alongside Marvin in the battle for equality & an end to racism."
Former club Hibs were also quick to get behind the former fans' favourite, while Livi skipper Nicky Devlin posted a message of support to the Englishman.
