RANGERS striker Alfredo Morelos feels that his relationship with the club's supporters makes him want to remain at Ibrox 'for years to come'.

The Colombian forward has scored 99 goals for the Premiership champions since joining from Finnish side HJK in 2017, and has regularly been linked with big-money moves elsewhere that have never materialised.

In an interview with Futboleros con la FAM, the 25-year-old admitted that the unwavering backing he has received from fans has constantly spurred him on during his time in Glasgow.

And it's this bond with supporters that means Morelos is in no hurry to leave Govan anytime soon.

“Rangers fans are loyal fans who support us everywhere we play," he explained.

“That feeling of knowing fans travelled to other countries, far away from Glasgow, is wonderful.

“I feel that unconditional support, they love me a lot, they cheer my name at every game in every stadium.

“As a player, this motivates me to keep working, keep playing well and to want to stay playing there for years to come.”

Morelos added that the team's Premiership triumph last term had a dream-like feel to it, and helped him achieve a few personal targets.

“It’s an amazing story," Morelos said. “I didn’t want to leave Rangers without winning the title, without scoring against Celtic.

“This year was the season that everything turned out the best way possible.

“We had good seasons and this season was the best because we made history with regards to points; winning almost every game.

“We played really well and I was happy to win the title.

“It was cool because people lived and breathed it every day and, as a player, that feeling is really nice.”
