BORNA BARISIC is set to be sidelined for Rangers' trip to face Motherwell on Sunday after missing the draw with Aberdeen through injury.
The Croatian was absent from the side that fought back to earn a 2-2 draw on Wednesday night as the champions dropped crucial points at the top of the Premiership and saw Celtic eat into their advantage in the title race.
Barisic - who started the win at St Mirren last weekend - was replaced by Calvin Bassey at left-back and the Nigerian internationalist is now set to retain his starting spot as Steven Gerrard takes his side to Fir Park.
Rangers face Brondby in a crucial Europa League clash next Thursday and that could be the next time that supporters see Barisic in action for the champions.
Gerrard said: “Borna has a small issue at the moment and I think he will be out for the weekend, also.
“Hopefully we will have him around for the Brondby game.”
