HARRY REDKNAPP insists there is still a possibility that Frank Lampard could land the Rangers job.

The Chelsea and England hero has been linked with the Ibrox position after Steven Gerrard departed for Aston Villa yesterday.

Lampard has also been linked with Norwich and reports yesterday suggested that he would be joining the Canaries.

But his uncle Redknapp has refused to rule out Lampard moving to Ibrox.

Asked if the ship had sailed on a possible move for Lampard to Rangers on talkSPORT, he said: "No, I wouldn’t have thought so.

"I would have thought he’ll want to get his career back going again.

"And maybe Stevie has gone and set his on the right track by going to Rangers.

"So going to Scotland and going to Glasgow Rangers wouldn’t be a backwards step. It would be a fantastic job for him."
