GIOVANNI VAN BRONCKHORST reckons Rangers showed 'everything' he wanted from his side as the champions qualified for the Europa League knockout rounds with victory over Sparta Prague.

Alfredo Morelos netted twice at Ibrox to ensure Van Bronckhorst got his reign off to a winning start and will finish behind Group A leaders Lyon this term.

Rangers bounced back from their Premier Sports Cup defeat to Hibernian on Sunday by producing an accomplished showing on their return to continental competition.

And Van Bronckhorst was thrilled with the manner of the performance and to see Morelos hit the target in either half to get his side off and running in a new Ibrox era.

Van Bronckhorst said: "I think we had everything. From the first minute we were in the game, pressing them, we were having a good rhythm of play and creating chances.

"We created enough in the first half to win the game. So I was very proud of the guys. They kept pushing for the win.

"In the end, 2-0 will see us through. It’s never nice to lose and with a lot of games to be played, we could give a good match today.

"Of course the guys were down after Sunday but they were also determined to get a good result.

"The clean sheet is always good. Because we know we always create chances with the way we want to play.

"In the end, they had one header – and some great saves in the end. But, if you see all he chances we got, it shouldn’t have been close in the end.

"I think he (Morelos) did really well. He’s a striker who can create danger. I wanted him to play more towards the box.

"Sometimes he wants to drop deep into midfield but, with the wingers we have, we should always create chances from crosses. He took his goals really well."
