CHRIS SUTTON is set to land a new job in management... with Aldi.
The supermarket chain waded into the Celtic heroes row with Rangers over providing access to Ibrox.
It emerged last week that Sutton was once again not permitted to enter the stadium as part of BT Sport's coverage of last week's Europa League action.
The Parkhead legend earlier this week cheekily compared his latest knockback to being turned away from the door of Lidl.
The broadcaster covered both Rangers and Celtic's respective matches against Sparta Prague and Bayer Leverkusen from an empty Celtic Park instead.
Now, Aldi have hilariously waded into the situation as they shared a story about Sutton's Lidl quip.
Their official account tweeted: "We're not saying we agree, but Chris Sutton has just been made an honouree Aldi manager."
Sutton then shared their tweet as he said: "Thanks Aldi I'm a big fan really."
And this morning, he jokingly added: "Very excited about my first day in a new job today...."
