KRIS BOYD could not resist a cheeky swipe at Kyogo Furuhashi ahead of today's Scottish Premiership match between Dundee United and Celtic.

The Rangers hero was in the Sky Sports studio for the fixture and he was quick to bring up Kyogo's bizzarre incident with John Souttar from midweek.

The striker hit the deck after tangling with the Hearts defender and after he lifted his shirt to show a scratch on his stomach.

Referee Bobby Madden waved away any protests and Boyd referenced the incident as he discussed Celtic's injury problems.

He said: "I am surprised Kyogo has recovered as well because I saw he took a serious one during the week as well."

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou revealed pre-match that star man Jota would be missing for a few weeks after picking up a hamstring knock against Hearts.

Anthony Ralston and Stephen Welsh also limped out the fixture but Postecoglou reckons they won't be out for long.
