JAPANESE football chief Koji Sorimachi has revealed he is aware of talks of Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate making a move to Celtic.
The head of the Japan FA admitted he's heard of discussions between the pair and Celtic as Japan announced their national team squad.
Ange Postecoglou has been linked with moves for the duo as well as J-League ace Yosuke Ideguchi.
And Sorimachi has discussed Maeda and Hatate's national team situation if they were to complete a deal to head to Glasgow.
Japan named their side for a match against Uzbekistan in January, but no overseas players have been included due to Covid restrictions.
Both Maeda and Hatate are currently set to feature, but the Japan chief admitted they would drop out of the squad for domestic players if they move to Celtic next month.
Sorimachi explained: "I have heard that there are rumours of a transfer (for those two).
"In that case, additional domestic players will be called-up."
