Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers doesn’t know anything about the competition his side now face after tumbling out of the Europa League tonight.
Rodgers’ side lost 3-2 in Italy to Napoli which left them in third spot behind their opponents and group winners Spartak Moscow.
The former Celtic boss didn’t look a happy man as he faced up to the new reality and was open about his lack of UEFA Conference League knowledge.
When asked if Leicester can go on to win the new tournament, Rodgers said: “Well, I have to be honest with you. I don’t even know what the competition is.
“In all fairness. I was focussed on the Europa League, on winning this group and finishing second so all due respect to the copetiiton, I’m not even sure what it is.
“So, I’m sure I will find out soon enough.”
