ST MIRREN have confirmed their match against Celtic will go ahead tonight after failed requests for a postponement.
Buddies chiefs had pleaded with the SPFL to reschedule the fixture after a Covid outbreak in the playing squad.
But the request was knocked back meaning the match at the SMiSA Stadium will go ahead as planned at 7.45pm tonight.
St Mirren will be forced to field a significantly weakened squad for the match with as many as 12 first-team players out after testing positive.
It leaves Jim Goodwin turning to youth prospects to fill his squad with a threadbare first-team squad available for selection.
The Buddies confirmed the match would be played tonight with a one-line statement on Twitter.
It read: "Tonight's game will go ahead."
