CELTIC could be without Kyogo and Tom Rogic for the derby match against Rangers in February.

Ange Postecoglou's side will host Rangers at Celtic Park on February 2 in a rescheduled fixture after the SPFL ruled the winter break would be brought forward.

The change in winter break dates sees the scheduled January 2 derby moved back one month as clubs called for an end to fixtures amid the incoming 500-fan cap beginning on Boxing Day.

Celtic now take on Rangers on a midweek Wednesday night fixture with a 7.45pm kick-off time for the live Sky Sports match.

The change could cause Celtic to miss two key players for the fixture with Kyogo and Rogic expected to be in Asian World Cup qualifying with Japan and Australia.

The duo are both very much in the international fold and could be named in their national team squads for the crucial qualifying matches.

Kyogo's Japan are scheduled to take on Saudi Arabia on February 2 meaning he'd be on the other side of the world as his team-mates take on Rangers.

Rogic too would be a number of time zones away from Scotland with the Socceroos set to play Oman on the same day.

The national team fixtures could also impact reported Celtic targets Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Yosuke Ideguchi if they sign on at Parkhead and are called up by Samurai Blues boss Hajime Moriyasu.
