A TRANSFER insider has detailed the working relationship between Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou and newly appointed chief exec Michael Nicholson.

Nicholson was handed the CEO position on a permanent basis yesterday after holding office in an interim role following Dom McKay's exit.

And former Rangers star turned agent Craig Moore, who knows Postecoglou well both professionally and personally, reckons the pair have an excellent working relationship.

And he tipped the duo to compliment each other during the transfer window as he insisted Postecoglou will control the football side of things with Nicholson solely focussed on business matters.

Moore went on to predict Celtic will aim to conclude their January transfer business as quickly as possible with targets already in place.

Celtic have been heavily linked with a triple swoop for J-League stars Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Yosuke Ideguchi.

Moore, despite being a former Rangers player, reckons the appointment will be a positive for Celtic ahead of a possible busy window.

Quizzed on the importance of the relationship between CEO and manager, Moore said on Go Radio: "I think it's very important at any football club.

"Michael Nicholson and Ange have not only probably identified options for the winter, but it's about acting on them quickly.

"That's where they were in the off-season, the uncertainty of nobody knowing who's role was what. I know Michael Nicholson gets on really well with Ange.

"It's positive for Celtic and they will get down to business in terms of recruitment.

"Ange will be the one who makes the football messages to supporters and on the business side, it'll be Michael."
