RANGERS striker Alfredo Morelos is subject to interest from three Premier League clubs, according to a report.

American news outlet CBS Sports claim that Newcastle United will 'urgently' pursue a deal for the 25-year-old after Callum Wilson and Allan Saint-Maximin suffered calf injuries against Manchester United a week ago.

The report adds that Everton, who have already made an approach for Ibrox teenager Nathan Patterson, are monitoring Morelos' situation, as are Leicester City - managed by former Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers.

According to CBS Sports, "along with Newcastle, Everton and Leicester are also considering a $27million [roughly £20m] swoop".

Morelos has 13 goals in 29 appearances across all competitions this season and has been in impressive form since Giovanni van Bronckhorst replaced Steven Gerrard as manager at Ibrox.

The Colombian has scored four goals in his last five Premiership outings and bagged a brace in November's 2-0 win over Sparta Prague in the Europa League.
