CELTIC are reportedly set to sign Sligo Rovers striker Johnny Kenny within the next 24 hours.

Reports claim Ange Postecoglou will add Kenny, 18, to his squad officially with a possible confirmation in the coming days.

The Irish Independent report the plater will choose to move to Parkhead instead of Easter Road after interest from Hibs.

The deal is reported to be worth an initial £125,000, or €150,000, with the possibility of further payments through add-ons in the transfer fee.

It's claimed Celtic will make further payments should Kenny make an amount of first-team appearances for the club - and another "six-figure sum" if he hits the top limit of appearance-based add-ons.

The report also suggests Sligo will hold a 10-15 per cent sell-on fee after negotiations between the clubs.

While Kenny is expected to join Celtic - it's thought he could head back out on loan in January.

The striker has made 34 appearances for Sligo, scoring 12 goals and making three assists.

Postecoglou has already added three new faces to his squad so far this month with Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Yosuke Ideguchi moving from the J-League to Parkhead.
