GREGG BERHALTER, the United States manager, admits that Cameron Carter-Vickers is on his radar following the Spurs loanee's strong start to life in Scotland.

The centre-half joined on a season-long loan in the summer and has quickly established himself as a key player in Ange Postecoglou's defence, making 24 appearances and providing two goals so far.

Celtic are believed to be interested in making the deal permanent and a fee of around £6million could be enough to convince Tottenham to sell.

Carter-Vickers has eight caps for the US, the last of which arrived against Jamaica in 2019, but could find himself back in the ineternational set-up before long after Berhalter revealed he has been keeping a close eye on the defender's progress at Parkhead.

"We are definitely monitoring Cameron," Berhalter told the Daily Record.

"We have a lot of competition at the centre-back position. But we think he is performing well and he is definitely on our radar."
