RANGERS have joined the growing list of clubs in the chase for Milwall striker Zak Lovelace's signature, according to reports.

The centre-forward, who turns 16 this weekend, became the second-youngest player in the history of the Championship club when he clambered off the bench against Coventry last month.

Premier League duo Brighton and Leicester City have been monitoring Lovelace, while Rangers 'have watched him regularly this season', report the Daily Record.

The promising youngster, who previously played for Crystal Palace and Brighton, has trained with the first team at The Den on multiple occasions this season and has represented England at youth level.

The Record add that Milwall are 'desparate' for Lovelace to sign his first professional contract with them. Manager Gary Rowatt previously predicted: "He’s going to have a big career ahead of him, I’m sure."
