ANGE POSTECOGLOU will wait and see which of his players will be called away on international duty later this month before making a call on requesting the postponement of matches.

The Japan squad for their World Cup qualifiers against China and Saudi Arabia is due to be announced early on Saturday morning, with Reo Hatate and Daizen Maeda very much in the thoughts of manager Hajime Moriyasu.

Yosuke Ideguchi is unlikely to be called up, but with striker Kyogo already injured, Postecoglou may look at requesting the postponement of fixtures against Hearts, Dundee United and Rangers should he be shorn of any more players.

And he joked that the media need to start talking the performances of his Japanese stars down so that they stop making headlines in their home country.

"The squad will get announced at about 5am on Saturday morning," Postecoglou said.

"We are awaiting official confirmation but they will both be in the frame...thanks to you blokes in the media! Their good performances against Hibs got publicised in Japan. It would nice if you started writing they had shockers!

"We will wait and see what the squad is."

Postecoglou already knows for certain that he will be without Tom Rogic for the matches mentioned above, but he is pleased for the midfielder to be involved with his country.

"I'm not disappointed," he said. "He's selected for Australia because he's a helluva player. I'd be disappointed if he wasn't selected."
