BOTH Celtic and Rangers have received Old Firm boosts with Cameron Carter-Vickers and James Sands available for the derby clash.
The US pair were thought to be in contention for the national team squad but have not been called up by bossย Gregg Berhalter.
The American national side have three clashes upcoming at the end of January and into February which would've seen Carter-Vickers and Sands ruled out of the Old Firm if called up.
First up for the USMNT in a trio of World Cup qualifiers is El Salvador on January 28, before taking on Canada on January 30.
The third match comes one day after the Old Firm as the US side face Honduras on February 3.
The news will come as a boost for Ange Postecoglou and Giovanni van Bronckhorst who are both sweating over the availability of some key players.
For Celtic there are concerns over whether Japanese stars Kyogo, Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Yosuke Ideguchi will be available or if they'll be called up by their national team.
Tom Rogic has already been called up by Australia forย World Cup qualifying and is expected to miss the match.
For Rangers, Joe Aribo could miss out if Nigeria continue to progress to the late stages of the African Cup of Nations.
His nation have already advanced out of the group stages and play Tunisia in the Round of 16 today.
Alfredo Morelos will also miss the derby clash due to commitments after being called up to the Colombia squad. Van Bronckhorst also faces a wait to discover Kemar Roofe's availability with Jamaica also in action around the derby date.
