CALLUM BEATTIE sparked fury amongst Celtic fans as he held his nose in a social media video ahead of conducting the Scottish Cup draw.

The Scottish pop star was at Recreation Park taking in Celtic vs Alloa ahead of the last 16 draw taking place at the full-time whistle.

Ahead of the draw taking place, he tweeted: "Delighted to be doing the Scottish Cup draw tonight @AlloaAthleticFC @CelticFC for @PremierSportsTV Not so delighted to be walking through all the Celtic fans tho."

He then posted the video of himself in front of the away end as he pinched his nose.

Celtic defeated Alloa 1-2 with Girgos Giakomakis and Liel Abada getting on the scoresheet. Veteran Conor Sammon grabbed one back for Barry Ferguson's side late on.

Hoops fans were quick to hit back at Beattie for his social media stunt.

One supporter wrote: "Poor banter mate, follow you and love your music, but this is poor."

Another said: "You honestly think by doing this Rangers fans will buy your records?"

A third tweeted: "Very disrespectful."

And a fourth added: "That's clever, alienate half of your fan base."

On the flip side, some Rangers fans were big fans of the video.

One said: "Quality patter mate!"

Another tweeted: "I'm not sure you will be welcome back for another draw but you made the most of your time, well played sir."

and a third added: "Absolutely outstanding, love it!"
