RANGERS have confirmed Juninho Bacuna's Ibrox exit.

The midfielder, signed in August, made just 12 appearances for Rangers before leaving for Birmingham City this month.

Bacuna, 24, had joined under Steven Gerrard but had his playing time limited under Giovanni van Bronckhorst and has now sealed a move to the English Championship.

Rangers revealed Birmingham paid an "undisclosed fee" to land Bacuna who was contracted until the summer of 2023.

He's now ended his short-term stint in Glasgow and penned a three-and-a-half year deal with Birmingham.

A Rangers statement confirmed: "Rangers can confirm it has accepted an offer for an undisclosed fee from Birmingham City for the permanent transfer of Juninho Bacuna.

"The Curacao internationalist joined Gers back in August from Huddersfield Town and has since made 12 appearances and scored one goal.

"Everyone at Rangers wishes Juninho well for his move and future career."

Birmingham announced the signing this afternoon with video of the midfielder driving listening to Lion King hit Hakuna Matata - with the caption Bacuna Matata.
