HEARTS boss Robbie Neilson has delivered a cheeky Rangers dig as he provided an update on John Souttar's future amid transfer interest.
The Tynecastle manager was once again quizzed over Souttar with Rangers having a bid previously knocked back to bring the defender to Ibrox early.
Souttar featured in the win over Motherwell this afternoon but was taken off with a knock.
However, Neilson expects him to recover in time for the match with Hibs on Tuesday as he confirmed no new bids have been received from Rangers.
The Hearts boss also took a cheeky swipe at Rangers who drew 3-3 with Ross County as he joked the goals conceded in the Highlands may prompt a bid.
Neilson said: “There’s been nothing new with John. Although I saw they lost three goals today so I might get a phone call!
“But at this moment in time there’s been nothing.
“He’s fine. He’s left here and he’ll be back in tomorrow. And I expect he’ll be available for Tuesday if he’s still here.”
