JOE ARIBO reckons Rangers' fast start was the key to their success as they eased to victory over Hibernian.

The champions completed a quickfire Edinburgh double by following up on their weekend win at home to Hearts with a 2-0 triumph at Ibrox.

Rangers remain a point adrift of Celtic at the top of the Premiership after a James Tavernier penalty and Alfredo Morelos strike earned a deserved win.

The Colombian has now netted three times since returning from international duty and Aribo is delighted to see Morelos back doing what he does best after leading the line with aplomb against Hibs.

Aribo told RangersTV: "It was important. We knew that we had to start fast and that is what we did do.

"We got in their faces and made it hard for them to settle and we are happy that we were able to get the three points.

"We need to keep going and keep pushing. We need to play all our games like that and play with that intensity to not let the opposition be comfortable on the ball.

"He (Morelos) has been amazing since he has been back. The boys are loving him.

"He is strong, he can finish on both feet. It is amazing to have him."
