BORUSSIA DORTMUND are set to be handed a major boost ahead of their clash with Rangers on Thursday as one of their star men is expected to return to action.

Gio Reyna is set to be back in the squad after missing Saturday's win against Union Berlin through illness.

The 19-year-old is the son of ex-Rangers midfielder Claudio Reyna and is named after his dad’s former team-mate, and current Ibrox boss, Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

The American is pushing for a start, although Thorgan Hazard is likely to be given the nod with Reyna on the bench.

If he is to play it will be his first appearance in the Europa League.

Meanwhile, star striker Erling Haaland is likely to miss the game after sitting out the German giants' last two league games with a groin injury.
