ANGE POSTECOGLOU has explained his thinking behind the major changes to his Celtic side to take on Bodo/Glimt in Norway.

The Hoops head into the match looking to overcome a 3-1 deficit from the first-leg in Glasgow - and Postecoglou has left a number of key players out.

Callum McGregor, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Jota, Liel Abada, Josip Juranovic and Reo Hatate all start on the bench for the match.

But Postecoglou has insisted he's selected a side he believes gives Celtic the best chance of progression as he shared his hope of "energy, enthusiasm and determination" from those coming into the line-up.

And while plenty of changes have been made to the personnel, Postecoglou has re-affirmed that there will be no change in style for the Europa Conference League clash.

Discussing his team selection on BT Sport, he explained: "For us it is just about approaching the game how we do every game - that's the beauty about playing football the way we do, we try and win every game, we try and score goals every game and that's what we have to do today.

"We've done that home and away, that's the approach we take so nothing really changes we just go into tonight and take it to a really good opposition.

"It's the reason we brought players in in January - to have a strong squad. We kinda got through the first-half of the year but we had a lot of injuries.

"The guys I'm bringing in today have the energy, the enthusiasm and determination to do well and they'll get an opportunity.

"Every time I pick a team I think will win us the tie and that's what we go with today."

The Celtic boss also shrugged off a question on preparing his side for the freezing conditions in the Arctic Cirlce for the match - as he stated 'it's just weather'.

He added: "It is just the weather you know. I have had experience with the national team of playing in the middle east.

"I can tell you players much prefer to play in the cold than in the heat. There are always things you have to overcome.

"Conditions, the pitch, the opposition, the crowd today. You can find different explanations to why you can't perform, but our job is to prepare so we can overcome these things."
