CELTIC RATINGS

JOE HART 7

Celtic’s star performer. Kept the scoreline down with a number of top saves throughout the 90 minutes.

CARL STARFELT 5

Struggled with the pace of the game on the artificial surface. Looked shaky as the hosts bombed forward with pace at every opportunity.

LIAM SCALES 5

Allowed Ola Solbakken too much space for the opening goal of the contest. Was loose in possession first-half but eased into it in the second period.

STEPHEN WELSH 6

Came in for Cameron Carter-Vickers and had a busy evening in the Norwegian cold. Was strong in the tackle and battled well during a tough night for his team.

ANTHONY RALSTON 5

Never got up the right flank as much as he would have liked. Defended away well but was forced to play in his own half due to the high press of Bodo/Glimt.

MATT O’RILEY 4

His Celtic career has started brightly, but this simply wasn’t his night. Looked busy enough in the middle, but struggled to make an impact on the European tie.

NIR BITTON 5

Utilised in a defensive midfield role in the first period, before being pushed up alongside Callum McGregor in the second. Sprayed the ball about without impacting the game.

TOM ROGIC 4

The Australian hardly touched the ball in the opening 45 minutes. On the few occasions, he did have possession, he was wasteful.

GIORGOS GIAKOUMAKIS 5

Didn’t follow up from his hat-trick display against Dundee on Sunday. Struggled to hold the ball up and never brought his teammates into the attack.

DAIZEN MAEDA 6

Had a chance to grab a consolation in the second half for his side but failed to take it. Pretty quiet performance other than that effort.

JAMES FORREST 6

Handed a rare start of late but wasn’t as influential as he would have hoped. Had a couple of runs in the final third, but there was no final ball from the Scotland international.

SUBSTITUTES

CALLUM MCGREGOR (FOR ROGIC, 45) 6

Provided a much-needed composed head in the middle of the park. Kept the ball well and linked up with his teammates in midfield and attack after being introduced from the bench.

LIEL ABADA (FOR MATT O’RILEY, 45) 5

Injected some energy into the Celtic attack. Ran at the opposition defence and his pace caused problems.

JAMES MCCARTHY (FOR GIAKOUMAKIS, 76) 4

On for a defensive shift to keep the scoreline down.
