Old Firm derby goes Down Under

Celtic and Rangers will face off in Australia after agreeing to take part in the Sydney Super Cup.

The Hoops confirmed on Tuesday that boss Ange Postecoglou would return home as part of a four-team set-up that begins on November 16th.

Historically, it will see Scotland’s big two meet abroad for the first time alongside matches with A-League sides Sydney FC and Western Sydney.

Christie could've left Celtic for more money

Ryan Christie has revealed that he turned down more lucrative offers to join Bournemouth from Celtic in the summer.

The Scotland international switched to the English Championship but he insists it was for a new challenge instead of financial gain.

He told Football Scotland: "In terms of money there were moves on the table which would have been more financially beneficial which I went against."

Celtic in line for potential windfall from Jeremie Frimpong sale

Celtic could be set to receive a significant cash sum after Bayern Munich were linked with a move for Jeremie Frimpong.

The Dutch full-back move to Glasgow in 2019 from Manchester City and impressed enough during his 18-month stint to seal an £11.5million move to Bayer Leverkusen in January 2021.

It is believed that Celtic included a sell-on clause in the deal to sell Frimpong to Leverkusen and as such, the Parkhead club will be due a cut of any future transfer fee.
