CHRIS SUTTON has urged Celtic to go all out and sign Dundee United goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist at the end of the season.

The Swiss stopper is out of contract in the summer and Sutton reckons he would be an ideal back up choice for Ange Postecoglou.

Siegrist has been linked with moves to Rangers and Southampton after what will be four years on Tayside when his deal runs out.

But the 29-year-old ex-Aston Villa shotstopper, also hasn't closed the door on staying at Dundee United.

Speaking on Premier Sports, Sutton said: "If I'm Celtic I go out and buy him at the end of the season as back up.

"I really like him. He's had a number of seasons at Dundee United now.

"I think he is a brilliant goalkeeper."

Meanwhile, Ange Postecoglou has explained Liel Abada and Jota's absence from the Celtic squad tonight.

He said: “You obviously always looking to set up the team for the challenges of the day.

“We’ve got a couple, Jota and Abada, who weren’t available for today but will be alright for the weekend.

“The other changes we made because we feel like hopefully, they’ll help us in the game today.”
