IT took just ten minutes for Matt O'Riley to be sold on a move to Celtic.

The midfielder - called-up to the Denmark under-21 side - has revealed a quick conversation with Aneg Postecoglou lead to his deadline-beating transfer move.

O'Riley made the move to Celtic in January, joining from MK Dons after Celtic made use of a buy-out clause.

And the player, who has impressed at Celtic, revealed there was just two days left on the contract clause when the Parkhead club made their move.

As quoted by Bold.dk, O'Riley explained: “I think I talked to their coach for ten minutes and then I felt ready. He told me all the right things, so a day went by and then it was almost in place.

“They redeemed my buy-out clause two days before it expired. It made it all a little easier, because if it had expired, MK Dons could have demanded a lot of money for me, and then it might not have happened.”

While O'Riley is just months into his Celtic career, he is already targeting Champions League experience next season if the Hoops claim the Scottish Premiership crown.

The 21-year-old also opened up on his aspirations of "bigger steps" in his career as he revealed his desire to continue his improvement.

"If we win the league, we can play the Champions League next season. Of course, this is something you really want

"Of course I have dreams of taking bigger steps in my career, but I take it as it comes. I just want to be as good as possible."
