JOE HART insists Celtic hold no advantage over Rangers ahead of Sunday's Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden.

The Hoops were last in action against St Johnstone on Saturday, April 9, as they thumped the Perth outfit 7-0.

Rangers comfortably beat St Mirren 4-0 a day later.

But while Celtic have been able to get some rest into the players that needed it, as well as a full weeks' training, Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men were involved in an energy-sapping 120-minutes against Braga on Thursday night.

The Gers prevailed from that tie, winning 3-2 on aggregate to reach the last-four of the Europa League.

And while it would be safe to think Celtic's extra rest would mean they'll have one leg up on their opponents this weekend, Hart doesn't believe that will be the case.

He told the media: "It’s an important game, every game is huge. So Sunday’s no different.”

Asked directly about a potential edge over their rivals, he added: "Not really.

"We've done Thursday-Sunday and we've always felt good going into either of those games.

"They're professional athletes, they're built to play twice a week just like we are, so I'm sure they will be as prepared as they need to be."
