THE SCOTTISH Football Writers' Association have announced its shortlist for the Manager of the Year award.

A five-man nominees list has been revealed featuring bosses from the Scottish Premiership, Championship and national team.

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou is among those in contention for the award in his first season in Scottish football.

The Greek-Australian boss lead a major overhaul in the summer to win the Premier Sports Cup with the club and is on the brink of a Scottish Premiership title win.

Fellow top-flight manager Robbie Neilson has made the cut after a superb season with Hearts. 

He has guided the Jambos to a third-place spot in the club's first season back in the division. Hearts also have a Scottish Cup final against Rangers to look forward to.

Malky Mackay is the final candidate from the Scottish Premiership for his work at Ross County.

After a dreadful ten-game winless run at the start of the season, County have sealed a top-half finish and could even earn a European spot.

Arbroath manager Dick Campbell is representing the Scottish Championship in the five-man SFWA Manager of the Year shortlist.

The part-time club have enjoyed a magnificent season running Kilmarnock close to the Championship title and preparing to play in the promotion play-offs.

The final nominee is Scotland boss Steve Clarke. He has Scotland just two games away from reaching the finals of the World Cup.

The winner will be announced at the annual Player of the Year dinner on Sunday, May 8.
