RB LEIPZIG'S "I'm Feeling It" Rangers jibe appears to have backfired after Bundesliga rivals Borussia Monchengladbach produced a similar quip last night.

After Thursday's Europa League semi-final in Germany, Leipzig shared a celebration snap and captioned the picture "I'm Feeling It" in reference to Rangers' unofficial anthem.

The Germans currently lead the tie by a goal ahead of the return leg at Ibrox on Thursday.

But Leipzig were defeated in the league last night as they faced off against Borussia Monchengladbach and they tweeted after the game: "Anyone else feeling it?"

Preparations have been far from ideal for Leipzig with M'gladbach triumphing 3-1 despite being reduced to ten men in the second-half of the Bundesliga fixture.

Breel Embolo slotted home after 17 minutes to give the hosts an early lead.

But Leipzig danger man Christopher Nkunku was on target to restore parity after 36 minutes. The French forward burst into the penalty box before sending a deft finish into the far corner.

In first-half added time the hosts were back in front as Embolo split open the defence with a through ball for Jonas Hofmann to fire home.

Monchengladbach were reduced to ten men after 64 minutes when Nico Elvedi fouled Nkunku outside the box.

However, Hofmann put the result beyond any doubt when he rifled home his second of the night. The German found space in the box before narrowing a shot into the bottom corner.

The result puts an end to a four-game away winning streak for RB Leipzig across all competitions.
