CELEBRITIES have reacted to the Rangers' Europa League semi-final win on Twitter.

Gordon Ramsay was one of a host of famous faces who took to social media to celebrate the team's victory over RB Leipzig.

The popular TV chef, who was once on the Rangers reserve team, tweeted: "Incredible win tonight Rangers.

"What a game.

"Well done."

River City star Jordan Young posted a picture of himself wearing a Rangers top and scarf with the caption: "We're on our way."

Fellow actor Stephen Purdon wrote: "Tears. Genuine tears.

"Phenomenal to a man tonight, what an achievement.

"Onto Seville now.

"Jimmy would’ve been proud."

Wrestling superstar Drew McIntyre tweeted WWE to say: "I'm taking May 18 off. 

"See everyone in Sevilla."

Several political figures also congratulated the Ibrox team on their win. 

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said: "Congratulation to Rangers FC on a fantastic achievement - good luck in the final."

Health Secretary Humza Yousaf wrote: "A stunning result and incredible achievement. 

"Enjoy the moment Rangers fans."

Tory MSP Annie Wells tweeted: "A truly incredible achievement. 

"Well done to Rangers, a tough game but they fought to the final whistle. 

"Best of luck in Seville."

Leader of the Scottish Conservatives Douglas Ross said: "A Scottish club in a European final is a momentous achievement.

"Congratulations to Rangers and the crowd at Ibrox last night.

"The wall of sound they created drove the team on.

"All the best for the final in Seville."

Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar added: "Great result for Rangers - a huge achievement for the club and Scottish football."

Rangers will play in the Europa League final in Seville on Wednesday, May 18.
