RANGERS head back into Scottish Premiership action tomorrow as Dundee United head to Ibrox.

A win will keep the hopes of a monumental turnaround in the league going, but if any points are dropped then Celtic will mathematically claim the title.

Rangers, however, still have a Europa League final and Scottish Cup final to look forward to later this month.

Here's your Rangers news round-up...

Alex Lowry agrees Rangers contract extension

ALEX LOWRY committed his future to Rangers and in turn ended speculation linking him with the Premier League by signing a new contract at Ibrox.

The 18-year-old agreed new terms with Rangers which will keep him at the club until at least 2025.

Lowry has been a regular in the Rangers B team this season but also made his first-team debut in the Scottish Cup win over Stirling Albion as he scored the opener back in January.

The creative midfielder has gone on to make three further appearances for the Ibrox top team and has been part of the matchday squad in the Europa League.

The new Ibrox deal comes as Premier League clubs were credited with serious interest in the youngster who had one-year left on his contract before the extension.

Saudi-rich duo Manchester City and Newcastle United were among those linked with Lowry, but Rangers acted quickly to secure his services.

Kris Boyd delivers 'sombrero' quip after Celtic triumph

KRIS BOYD today congratulated Celtic on all but sealing the Scottish Premiership title, but quickly quipped he's off to get packing for a trip to Seville.

The former Rangers striker offered praise to Ange Posetcoglou's side who took another step towards the title with a 4-1 win over Hearts, but then shifted focus to Rangers' Europa League final.

Boyd was on the Sky Sports panel covering the Celtic and Hearts clash and conceded the title race is effectively over with Celtic nine points clear and boasting a huge goal difference advantage.

But he couldn't resist referencing Rangers' success in Europe as they head to Seville later this month to take on Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League final.

Boyd said: "There have been big performances throughout the season for Celtic.

"I'd like to congratulate Celtic on winning the league.

"But I'm away to get my passport, my sunglasses and my sombrero looked out and I'll see you all next season."
