ANGE POSTECOGLOU has responded to reports suggesting that he was in talks with Celtic over a bumper new contract.

The Greek-Australian was appointed as manager of the Parkhead outfit last summer and has wasted no time in stamping his authority on the squad, making over a dozen signings as others have departed the east end.

The former Yokohama F. Marinos manager's debut campaign in Scotland ended with a domestic double. The Premier Sports Cup was lifted in December, while the Premiership title was wrapped up on Wednesday night courtesy of a 1-1 draw at Tannadice.

Asked about contract talks today, Postecoglou responded: "I've said all along, my own fulfilment doesn't come from those kind of rewards. It comes from being part of something special and that's what I have here.

"I can assure you the club has looked after me and my family in every possible way, I couldn't feel more supported in every possible way.

"If I keep doing a good job I'm sure I'll be be looked after in the future too. That's not just about contracts it's about other things as well.

"I'm happy at Celtic, you'll never have to worry about that stuff with me."
