ALLY MCCOIST couldn't contain his shock when Chris Sutton claimed John Lundstram wouldn't get in the Celtic team.
Rangers hero McCoist erupted after Sutton's bold claim as he insisted the Scouse midfielder would "walk into that Celtic team".
The punditry pair debated the team of the season on BT Sport's Scottish Football Extra when the heated debate over Lundstram began.
McCoist began, suggesting: "Big Bad John could patrol the area and let Callum go and do his wee stuff.
But Sutton wasn't interested as he claimed: "Big Bad John isn't getting in the Celtic team alongside Callum McGregor.
"He couldn't lace Callum McGregor's boots."
The statement drew a wild reaction from McCoist who screeched and threw his arms in the air before defending the Rangers star.
McCoist responded: "What?! Big Bad John is walking into that Celtic team.
"It's Big Bad John and ten others."
Lundstram has become a key figure for Rangers under Giovanni van Bronckhorst after a sticky start to life at Ibrox.
The midfielder is now a regular in the starting line-up and scored the all-important winner against RB Leipzig to send Rangers to the Europa League final.
Fair to say it got a bit heated on Scottish Football Extra when we selected ‘Team of the Season’!👇. Lundstram at the heart of it😂.

It’s the last episode this series + it’s on 6.30pm @btsportfootball. One of the funniest yet with @chris_sutton73 + Ally McCoist 👍 pic.twitter.com/IbE5V7QOsG
