CELTIC are reportedly tracking Shrewsbury youngster Ben Crompton.
The 18-year-old has been credited with interest from Parkhead.
And Celtic have been put on alert after the youth prospect rejected a short-term deal at Shrewsbury - according to the Shropshire Star.
A report from the paper claims Celtic are among a number of club interested in Crompton.
It's thought Crompton was well regarded by Shrewsbury academy staff having played mostly as a central defender for the youth team this season.
He can also play in midfield having been originally signed in the role.
And while Crompton - according to the Star - was highly rated by staff and trained with the first-team, he was unable to make a matchday squad.
