CHRIS SUTTON congratulated Rangers on their run to the Europa League final - but the Celtic hero couldn't help himself from aiming a dig at the Ibrox club.
Joe Aribo's second-half goal gave Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men the lead in Seville before Rafael Borre restored parity.
The match eventually went to penalties, where Aaron Ramsey's spot-kick was saved as the Bundesliga outfit sealed a 5-4 victory.
Sutton said the Rangers players had shown 'great effort' in the final as he aimed a cheeky dig towards the Europa League runners-up by highlighting the number of spot-kicks the Glasgow giants have been awarded this term.
"Great effort in the Europa League from Rangers and the players have given their all," Sutton wrote.
Great effort in the Europa League from Rangers and the players have given their all. With the amount of penalties they’ve been awarded this season I fancied them in the shootout mind. Well done to Frankfurt though👏👏
